Sangre Dulce

by Strangers Parfumerie

Rating:
Sangre Dulce translates into English as "Sweet Blood." Perfumer Prin Lomros describes his olfactory creation - inspired by cinema, like his other fragrances - as a "sweet, intoxicated, poison, avant-garde gourmand." While he says it's not a "traditional" gourmand, he asserts it is addictive. Definitely a fragrance for those who like their scents sweet.

NOTES: Sangria, rose water, strawberry, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, tobacco, pomegranate, ylang ylang, benzoin, Peru balsam, maple syrup, civet, patchouli, blood orange

  1. A surprise hit! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 7th Oct 2022

I received a complimentary sample of this with my last purchase, and honestly wish I had jumped in and bought a bottle instead of just a sample.

It's sweet and fruity...but in a dark and mysterious way. Sangria is definitely a good way to describe it! I wouldn't say it's very animalic (the supposedly prominent civet note was what held me back from a blind-buy), but it is adding that "he ne sais quai" to the scent. The resins aren't super strong either, but just give it a nice deep base. I don't smell any floral notes.

I think this is an awesome October scent, taking you right through Thanksgiving to Halloween, and beyond. (Or, if you're outside Canada, it's an autumnal scent to me.)

Definitely a strong contender for the next bottle I buy! (And my third Strangers Parfumerie scent from Indiescents!) I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
