    Lisbon Blues

    by SP Parfums

Lisbon Blues is a collaboration between SP Parfums and Miguel Matos. Its inspiration comes from Miguel's childhood beach memories and the Portuguese music genre called Fado, The Blues of Lisbon. Mix that with the passion of the Portuguese soul called Saudade with all the aspects and nuances between love and hate, passion and melancholy. Lisbon Blues is a “bitter-sweet cocktail” of layerings with soil -dyed greens, magnolia with davana and an earthy, amber-woody background.

NOTES: Soil-dyed green accord, magnolia, davana, incense, spices, amber, wood

Galbanum is an essential aspect of this fragrance. Like incense or myrrh it is used in ancient religious practices. This cologne was rated undeservedly low by some perfume critic which I don’t get why. It’s got freshness from the bergamot-like head note,
Oomph from the animatic/galbanum concentrated notes and it is balanced and has personality. Recommended. Slightly more masculine.
