The most delectable gourmand of the 4160Tuesdays line with just a hint of darkness...Inevitable Crimes of Passion is innocence tarnished with the entrancing scent of orange chocolate, elegantly iced cakes, cognac, coffee, and ... boletus edulus mushrooms. A scent inspired by the complicated plots of the novels of Henry James, in which nothing happens the way it ought to, and it's very unlikely that anyone lives happily ever after.
NOTES: Chocolate, orange, cake, cognac, coffee, mushroom

This perfume is playing off of the lushness of chocolate, the lushness of earthy dark mushroom, and the sweet light highlight of tart orange, cut down to the almost bitter pith. The combination can occasionally smell almost like a cigar, but getting lighter and airier as it goes (though always with that earth note that on me keeps it (literally) grounded. A complicated novel indeed!

This smells exactly like orange flavored childeren's cough syrup. Sickly sweet, heavy, fake orange flavor in a thick syrup. I don't get any chocolate, cake, cognac, coffee or mushroom at all, and the orange is SO sweet and artificial.
