    Ealing Green

    by 4160Tuesdays

Fresh, leafy green, with garden flowers and herbs.  I'd long wanted to make a scent for Ealing, my adopted home.  I met my husband at Ealing Studios on Ealing Green, at a wedding.  Then I was invited to a midsummer scent for a charity event, using all the flowers mentioned in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Nights's Dream.  I combined the two ideas and created the scent of Ealing Green on summer evening, but in the early 17th century.  It has white thyme, green grass, violets and lavender, geraniums and roses, with an earthy base.

    1. Unique Scent 5 Star Review

This distinctive and unique scent is appropriate for both genders. As a guy, I appreciate the herbal notes and light, earthy florals. The combinations of ingredients seem to work well with my chemistry, and I've received compliments on it's aroma.

    2. Ealing Green 1 Star Review

I was hoping that this would be fresh, dewy, realistic green grass sweetened with violet and lavender. On me, it's more of a really sour Spanish moss with dry, unpleasant earthiness. Behind that, there's dried out glass clippings and herbal geranium that also smell unusually sour here. As it dries down, it's more dirty and earthy than green or herbal, like moss and a sour, fecal earthiness. I had to scrub this one off after a couple hours.
