My holy grail of lilac fragrances is Highland Lilac of Rochester, which smells just like falling into a lilac bush and smelling all of its sweet, honeyed blooms.
White Lilac is a bit sharper and has an almost musky tone to it in comparison, along with a sharp, green, stem type of note. Still, it dries down to a very realistic, sweet lilac with just a touch of soapiness. I still prefer Highland Lilac, but this is quite nice, too.
