    L’amoureuse

    by Brecourt

    Inspiration
When everything around us is exquisite, when we draw in the intoxicating scent of eternal youth, when the spirit is full of enthusiasm and the body rejoices its freedom, we breath in “Amoureuse”.

    Creation
To give this floral accord of red roses and Indian sambac  jasmin irs joyful nature, I added sparkling fruity notes of peach, raspberry, bergamote, lemon and tangerine from Sicily. The dry down privileges the luscious sandalwood, white musks and Benjoin from Ceylon.

    Notes:
    Blackcurrant
, grapefruit, tangerine, rose, jasmine, lotus, sandalwood, peach, musk

    RIYL:
The magical combination of rose and blackcurrant

    1. Loving Amoureuse 5 Star Review

Posted by on 8th Jul 2016

I like this scent, a fruity rose, very much, and will probably order a full bottle. It's rich enough for any occasion, but still light enough for summer. It feels young and lively, but not girlish.

    2. May buy full bottle--not sure yet. 4 Star Review

I just ordered my second sample. I liked it enough to want to try it again, but not sure if there's a niche in my collection that it fits.

    3. For me, the fruits are the stars! 5 Star Review

Posted by on 23rd Oct 2015

While the rose is lovely, those dancing, bubbly fruits made this one for me. I'm wearing mine into the fall, although I like it a little more in the summer. Can't go wrong, if you love rose, this is for you, if you love the fruit, this is for you!

    4. not for me 3 Star Review

I wanted to love this one, but don't. It's rather sharp and stays that way.

    5. Succulent rose 4 Star Review

Posted by on 13th Jul 2012

I wanted a rose scent for nostalgic reasons. When I was little, after my grandmother would vigorously scrub me in the tub, she would douse me rose talc powder. We didn't have many vanity or perfume items growing up so that talc powder anointing was a real luxury. And although this L’amoureuse is not a particularly powdery number, it is very beautiful. There is something very lush and ripe about this scent, like when you see an ad with a fruit dripping with bulging water droplets and you can imagine the juiciness of the fruit. That is the effect this perfume has – a full and bursting rose. However, I did deduct a star because it didn’t stay for very long. It might just be the dry winter but I’m hoping summertime will make this more long lasting.

    6. Best Most Natural Red Rose 5 Star Review

Posted by on 27th Dec 2011

I've tried rose fragrances from the some of the most expensive, Shiseido White Rose to some of the cheapest, Perfume Workshop's Tea Rose, but none make me as happy as this one. Lovely green notes support this beautiful red rose and it lasts forever!

    7. Best and Most Real Rose Scent I've Found 5 Star Review

Posted by on 19th Nov 2011

Today I have a sample of the expensive new Caron Delir Rose on one arm and L'Amarouse on the other and while they are very similar, the L'Amourse is the clear winner and at a fraction of the price!

L'Amourese is rounder, softer, slightly more powder but as real a red rose as you can find. Smells just like the red roses I grow, totally natural not a synthetic aspect anywhere. I keep burying my nose in it. It's sillage is stronger than the Caron and its longevity is amazing. After 6 hours the L'Amoureuse is still strong, the Caron a mere memory.

DH knows a good fragrance and I had him do the sniff both test. He said they were similar but not identical and he picked the L'Amoureuse as the keeper.
