My taste for the oriental culture inspired me in this scorching fragrance whereby instinct cohabits with refinement.
Patchouli from Indonesia asserts itself through the rarefied use of cinnamon from Ceylon. A date accord, a combination of balms (benzoin, ciste-labdanum) and tonka beans for addiction and transports us to a far away place.
Cinnamon, bergamot, date, cedarwood, patchouli, tobacco, labdanum, benzoin, vanilla, tonka bean, musk
Woody spiced-up oriental scents
Note: Emilie from Brecourt has advised the name change from Haram to Farah was at the behest of customers from the Middle East.

Until trying Brecourt's Farah, I have never desired continually putting on the same scent so not lose the smell. For me, Farah is addicting in this way. It's so soft and subtle, yet long lasting. I'm not a perfume expert, so I can't pin point exactly what has attracted me to strongly to this perfume. Though I have always loved the smell and taste of cinnamon and vanilla, and have chosen scents that have a light musk note, which Farah has! I would highly recommend to anyone at least trying the sample to experience the most beautiful and intoxicating scent I have ever experienced!

This perfume is great! It combines all of my favorite scents - amber, patchouli, bergamot, vanilla, musk and tobacco - to create a full-bodied, warm fuzzy feeling that hugs the wearer.

I followed a beautiful lady and asked her, "What are you wearing?" She said, "Farah," and so I bought it!! Now I have many people ask me -- "What are you wearing? Where can I buy it?";))

A beautiful, sticky-sweet, gourmand resin. The cinnamon sugar and honeyed date pair so nicely with the amber-y, resinous labdanum and benzoin. Every now and then I can smell hints of the cedar, earthy tobacco, and creamy vanilla, but mostly this is a comforting, sensual, warm, amazing, honeyed & spiced amber scent. I love that the cinnamon isn't overwhelming and that the resins don't turn powdery on my skin. And the date note is so wonderful and long lasting. I'm going to be living in this scent when fall & winter's cold weather roll around. It's comforting and warm, but also very sexy and so unique.

I love this perfume, which I think of as sexy comfort scent. I enjoy wearing it, and find it original as well as yummy, memorable and feminine without being at all cloying or overly sweet. I used up several samples and then a full bottle, and wish it came in a larger size!

I love this perfume .farah reminds me of warm spicy cinnamon with chocolate and dates. Ideal for warmer weather but I will be wearing this anytime. I have layered this with single scents like amber or incense. Good silage and wearing time of 8 hours.

This really did live up to the reputation it's earned among admirers. Delicious honeyed dates! Comforting and decadent. Yet I can see this being amazing in the summer heat, like a gourmet oasis in the scorching heat. Definitely getting a full bottle!

I've been looking for a sweet, spicy fragrance with notes of dates for quite some time. It was completely random that I managed to come across Haram (Farah) but I'm so glad I did.
This scent is slightly sweet, womanly, and beautifully powdery all at the same time. It isn't cloying or overtly sugary, but honeyed and comforting.

This is one of the most distinctive and beautiful scents I've ever worn. It gets noticed!!

This is a warm, comforting gourmand with a lovely bass note--perhaps the oud--that grounds it and keeps it from becoming sugar-sweet or wispy. The impression of dates, spices, and honey calls to mind Ormonde Jayne's Ta'if and DSH's Mahjoun, but I prefer Farah to both. I'm looking forward to wearing this when the summer heat gives way to crisp autumn days. It will be a perfect cold-weather comfort scent.

Smells like a spice cake. I want to eat this, not wear it as a cologne. Above average rating because it doesn't make me physically ill, and it reminds me of Christmas. No desire to scrub it off.

The kookiemonster write she immediately scrubbed off this fragrance. Big mistake.
This fragrance changes a lot, the opening is very sweet but, in the middle notes, this gains another (completely different) smell. Very pleasant and adorable.

it's lovely. that is all.

This was my favorite of my samples order. You have to be a fan of cedarwood to enjoy this fragrance. It's a cinnamon & cedarwood explosion in the beginning. It comes of as a less complex love child of Ambre Narguile & Chergui to me, both of which I have owned and enjoyed! It dries down on me with a distinct soft, leathery note from the laudanum and a warm, rich, dusty sweetness from benzoin & tonka bean. I smell tabacco more subtly than the sweet, powdery leather. If you like Ambre Narguile & Chergui you will enjoy this fragrance. If you dislike the smell of cedar then steer clear!

If you are a fan of Ambre Narguile, you will love Haram. You might even love it more, considering the price is far lower than that of Ambre Narguile. Haram is a cozy scent that manages to be sexy and delicious at the same time. I cannot find one thing that I dislike about this fragrance! Love love love.

Haram is a sexy little sinful potion, sweet, resinous with hints of spice.
on me .. the notes that stand out are..
date, leather, cedar and honey.

Had a sample, first sniff, love, I bought a bottle, it is just like Hermes Ambre Narguile, really adore this fragrance and the price is right.

This smells exactly like Hermes Ambre Narguile, I adore it, got a sample first, it is amazing and hubby loves it too, and the price is right, great, the best.

The description by indiescents is completely accurate. It starts out a bit hot and medicinal but immediately goes into a rich creaminess. The notes really come together as one. I've been going through all my Brecourt samples and this is the first that I've really fallen in love with. Will consider a full bottle purchase.
