Cuir et Champignon

by Dawn Spencer Hurwitz

Leather is two-faced: sometimes smooth and refined; other times animalic as can be. Cuir et Champignon captures this dichotomy thorough the most unusual employment of mushroom.  Imagine the rich aroma of the most delicate mushroom consommé gently beckoning your senses. The edgy side of leather accentuates a true earthiness before its suave and refined counterpart makes its appearance and civilizes the side which could otherwise go full native.  As the  darkest regions slowly appear, you will discover a rich earth married to a deep and dusty leather. A true match made in heaven...on earth.

This is NOT what I expected! sampling is highly suggested, for this one. The aroma on me is nothing but pure charred, smokey, mesquite wood!

  2. the earthy scent you always wanted but didn't realize until you smelled it

you know how it smells when you walk in the deep woods in the fall and the leaves are damp and and wood is sort of drying out from being damp and your body's warming up in your leather jacket and the smells all combine? and you you wish someone would make a perfume that smelled like that day? this is it.
it's also an outstanding base if you like to layer perfumes. i love it all by itself, but also love it layered with spicy and floral scents.
