Belle Route

by Sarah Horowitz Parfums Artisan Collection

Belle Route is an uplifting blend of tuberose, fig and invigorating oceanic musk that is at once creamy, green and fresh.  Perfumer Marlene Stang's initial source of inspiration was pretty simple: an embossed tuberose-scented soap from Florence that she once received as a gift. Its scent conjured such aesthetic delights as exquisitely arranged vases of tuberoses in the airy foyers of European hotels and the natural beauty of locales like the Cote d' Azur and Capri.  Determined to translate these elements into a perfume, she experimented with various ingredients in the Sarah Horowitz Parfums atelier until one day, Belle Route was born.

  1. Gorgeous fresh tuberose

Posted by Maggie the Cat on 22nd Sep 2011

Wow, finally -- a truly fresh tuberose that captures the lovely vegetal quality of the flower without getting all weird and menthol on you. Don'get me wrong, there's a place for that. But oftentimes you then lose the creamy, white, skin-like qualities of the flower. This fragrance plays both of those notes perfectly, with the fig simply highlighting the flower's multi-dimensionality. And the fresh oceanic note in the base, while potentially polarizing, just happens to be one of my favorite ways to experience the trail of a perfume. Bravo!

  2. So beautiful!

Posted by Unknown on 20th Apr 2011

I've been sampling several perfumes lately and found myself to be disappointed in some aspect of each sample I tried until this one. I put it on this morning and when I first sprayed it I thought it smelled like hairspray but apparently that was just the smell of it wet because as soon as it hit my skin my eyes lit up and I thought, wow!
I expected this one to smell good but was stunned at just how good it smells. It reminds me a lot of curve cologne with the underlying pillowy breezy scent that lingers, only much more feminine.
All day when the fragrance wafted to my nose it gave me such a feeling of peace and calm. It totally made my day with it's beauty and it only got better over time.
I made all my friends smell it on me and they were impressed by it as well.
I will definitly be buying a bottle of this!

  3. Simple but Gorgeous

I love floral fragrances so I had to try this one. It is ALL woman - not girly. I never found a tuberose that I could wear but this is the exception. It's very fresh, floral and intoxicating. My husband loves this one and I'm sure it will be a hit with the men. Think of it as a sophisticated/grownup take on Juicy Couture. This one is 1000x better though.

  4. Intoxicating!

Posted by Unknown on 30th Aug 2010

This is a gorgeous, voluptuous concoction. It's like standing on a bluff on a breezy day with the ocean below, holding stalks of fresh tuberose while standing beneath a fig tree. It's hard to believe there's only 4 notes in this fragrance, because it smells so much more complex than that. But I guess that goes to show you that sometimes simplicity yields the most fantastic results.
