    Page 29

    by Francesca dell'Oro

    Rating:

Like the sheet of a diary, like the page of a book, this perfume contains various suggestions. Page 29 is a perfume that is colored of time, of shadow and light. The spiral of the leather background creates a moiré effect, iridescent and similar to a silk brocade. The opening notes give the fragrance all the generous opulence of the rosewood and the lightness of the Florentine orris enriched by gentle tangerines and Capua’s bergamot. Floral and transparent bouquets triumph in the heart, embellished by the temper of a soft, sensual and romantic leather. Tonka bean, labdanum ciste and luxurious vanillas close the fragrance, creating the memory of a scent able to transform the rhythm of olfactory space.

NOTES: Tangerine, bergamot, rosewood, elemi, orris, vetiver, flower bouquet, leather, labdanum ciste, tonka bean, vanilla of Madagascar, musk

    1. Love. 5 Star Review

Posted by on 28th Aug 2016

Page 29 makes me think of an old fashioned gentlemen's club. Overstuffed black leather chairs and gleaming, dark, heavy, polished wood with hints of dry tobacco leaves and what actually smells like crisp paper money on my skin. The vetiver, I think, is giving off that tobacco scent, and it has a slight smokiness in the drydown. The rosewood, leather and tonka in this are gorgeous and masculine. I get none of the citrus or florals, and I'm okay with that. This is a very smooth, rich fragrance, dark and warm, but also cool and reserved, in a way. Drydown has a masculine vanilla leaning that I just go crazy for. I love this one; Page 29 is my favorite of the Francesca dell'Oro lineup.
