A vanilla scent that is far from treacly. It has a natural elegant, vital and passionate peculiarity without any sickly sweet traits. The rum and the almond give it an original character with no compromises. Seductive but not suffocating, its trace wafts upon the skin for long, revealing the characteristics of its nature: vegetable, aromatic and gently gourmand. Vanilla is the femme fatale of a film noir set in the South Seas. It is rich, complex and irresistible with all the colors and flavours of the tropics. This is my gift to this fantasy, the idea of seduction.

I would like to note that Noir Tropical has the DNA that Maria Candida shares with her other perfumes. Some other perfumes in her line that you might want to sample are Sideris and Exultat. Both are very lovely. Noir Tropical also has one of the nicest sweet/slightly spiced smoke in its dry down.

When you think of Noir Tropical, it's best to think of it as a rum-extract drink. It's not a smoky, sugary gourmand, but, rather, a soft night of intoxicating delights in vanilla twilight. I have purchased three samples of Maria's Noir Tropical. I believe it's bottle time. Good longevity. Certainly sample worthy.

Sometimes I think that Indult's Tihota is my favorite vanilla fragrance ever, but Noir Tropical definitely fights Tihota for that top spot. This is high quality, amazing and long lasting on me. It's definitely a vanilla fragrance, and it's a sweet vanilla, but it's so sensual and somehow not so simple as "just vanilla." It's also never overly sweet. It smells expensive and rich. I don't smell bergamot or almond at all, but it does have a boozy quality from the rum. I think that this is a must-try if you like vanilla at all. It feels grownup, complex and addicting...

Funny how the reviews for this scent are all so different. I don't get floral or fruit from Noir Tropical at all. To me, this is a dark, natural, sexy vanilla. The rum, I think, gives it a dark, shadowy, resinous and cocoa-like edge. It's like a toasted vanilla marshmallow to me with a dusting of bitter cocoa powder and dark resins. My mum thinks it also has a bit of clove in it, but I don't pick up on any spiciness. All of Maria Candida Gentile's fragrances last all day on me and have great throw. This is one of my favorites :)

I am normally not a big vanilla perfume lover, but this one is exceptional. It smells very tropical, like a warm night in the Caribbean. I smell tiare flower and some jasmine in this juice. It's very lovely, great longevity and sillage.

Decent. Slightly fruity. Overall a pretty good fragrance but worth the price. Longevity and projection is average.

I was not sure what to expect, but this is flat out a hot perfume. it has great sillage and is so incredibly sexy. it is sweet, but not overwhelming. it can be worn to work and is a perfect summer scent.
