Inspired by Johannes Vermeer's famous painting The Milkmaid, Melkmeisje is a very Dutch affair indeed.
With notes of pear, lilac and linden blossom, the fragrance encapsulates the promise of early summer.
NOTES: Pear, lilac, linden blossom, honey, orris root, vanilla, vetiver, sandalwood, musk

I mainly get pear, lilac, linden blossom and honey from this blend. Juicy pears, sweet and breezy purple lilac, creamy white and citrusy linden blossoms, and a sweet drizzle of golden honey. Vetiver adds a slight earthy tone in the drydown, like dying green grass. A juicy, honeyed, creamy floral with sweet, green pear tones. Long lasting, complex, and beautiful.

Probably helps that, as I applied this delight across my palette, I am looking into my back yard which has just bloomed into many shades of green Conifer and Deciduous.
A lone Lilac bush blossoms centerstage releasing it's splendid perfume.
On my kitchen table, bright Daffodils radiate their golden charm.
The clincher,in this gem, is the way in which I am drawn into the ethereal high points of Conifer Green and the landing into a sea of Creamy, Citric, Resinous Savon.

Lilacs so real they could be from your own garden, citrusy linden blossoms playing a supporting role. A big surprise is the way the vanilla seems to sparkle into the scent. This will be my Easter scent.

Pear and vetiver, what a great couple!
The pear is youthful and wild. Vetiver wants to take it easy.
The vanilla shows some respect in the background and doesn´t want to take over like in most other cases.
Mlkemeis, malikesme, mejsmuppet..
Whatever, I love you!!!
